About Orlando Home Educators OHEd is an informal organization for homeschool families to meet and plan group activities. We are not an online-only support group. This is a secular homeschool group; people of all beliefs are welcome. Our children are elementary age and younger. Older siblings are always welcome, but the focus of our group's educational activities is currently geared towards elementary aged children. We are an FPEA (Florida Parent-Educators Association) recognized support group. Our members can join FPEA at a discounted rate. OHEd Membership Requirements Our membership requirements are as follows: Members must schedule and organize (i.e., host) a minimum of two group events each year. Don't worry, newcomers are gently guided through the process, and hosting an event can be as simple as scheduling a group activity and posting an announcement. Members must be active participants. We encourage members to support other hosts by committing to scheduled events and attending events that suit their homeschooling needs. Members must treat other members (adults and children) with the utmost respect at all times Members are encouraged to participate in bi-monthly group business meetings to discuss issues and shape the future direction of the group Members are encouraged to help with group management responsibilities on a rotating basis
